Found a new online book store

It's called Thrift Books, located at http://www.thriftbooks.com/.

It's great because it offers:

• 5 million used books to choose from
• Discounts on multi-book orders from the same warehouse (Saved a dollar by geting two books!)

And I happened upon by surfing on Amazon! (Sorry Amazon) I was most excited because there's a warehouse in Connecticut so I won't have to wait forever...hopefully

Hoping to get "Good in Bed", the next book in our book club list soon then!

A successful first meeting

I am glad to say the first meeting went GREAT! I was a little nervous so I had prepared with some questions, not realizing other copies of the book had reading guides! My Library Copy did not have one. I was worried everyone would HATE the book since it was so light and fluffy (and the main character was a bit whiny). Overall, it spurred good conversation. We all got to tell good stories that relate to the book. I think for a first book club meeting it was a good selection.

Thanks to all the girlies that brought food and drink. Great time!

We also made plans to have the next meeting at Colleens house. She has a pool! Should be fun, we can sip drinks and chat by the pool.  New book TBA!

Welcome!

If anyone knows me (which I hope so!), you know I love corny stuff.  And what's cornier than a blog?

I hope this site will let us share ideas, new books, and other things related to books and wine! I will be sending you all the login information, so everyone can update this when it's their turn to host with updates and book selections. I think it will be a great way to keep track of what we've already done!
